Dunhill

Lighter
Date of appearance: 1950 — 1960
Trademark: Dunhill
Weight: g
Materials: silver, enamel, perspex

A beautiful vintage work of art, this piece belongs to the Aquarium lighter series produced by Dunhill from the 1950’s-1960’s. Each individual piece was hand painted by one man, who was so specifically skilled in this technique, that when he left Dunhill was unable to continue the line. This specific lighter is of the smaller “Service” size which is more rare than the larger alternates. It depicts a small aquatic scene of koi fish in their natural habitat. Although there is a small crack on the side, the lighter is still in perfect working function. Highly sought after by both vintage and art collectors around the world, there aren't many of these pieces still left to go around.
