The Blickensderfer No. 7 typewriter came in wooden encasement with a metal handle and Mortise 2 lock; removable cover may be locked by means of a proper key. Machine framework is metal and painted black. Printing mechanism with united cylinder carrier for characters. Number of typing symbols ⎯ 84; Latin alphabet, three cases, three-row keyboard; characters are painted by painting roller. Paper supporting roller length ⎯ 250 mm. The machine was made in USA, was exported into Germany via Groyen & Richtmann Co, Cologne.
