Porcelain receiver Crystadin
. Design by O.V. Losev.
Main merits of the receiver are that it does not require a power source, is very cheap,
and can be assembled of materials at hand. Due to these merits, detector receivers were
used widely not only in the first decades of radio broadcasting, but much later as well,
in the 1930s and 1940s.
