The first batch of VK-1 machines were manufactured in 1953 on the basis of Odhner's arithmometers. VK-1 is the second in the USSR in terms of the prevalence of an arithmometer after "Felix". Differed by a set of numbers on the ten-key keyboard (plus three managers).Thus, the VK-1 arithmometer or computational key machine concludes a line of mechanical arithmometers, the next modification of VK-2 already opens a number of electromechanical computers.
